Kathak, a classical dance form originating from North India

North Indian classical dance style kathak is a mesmerizing fusion of elegant footwork, expressive storytelling, and rhythmic footwork. With its origins firmly rooted in the antiquated customs of Kathakars, or storytellers, the dance form developed as a means of utilizing dance to communicate folktales, myths, and spiritual narratives.

The auditory experience is enhanced by the dancers' use of ghungroos, which are ankle bells that give their movements a musical quality.
